Out to Ireland!
It’s my birthday! I was going to use a free pass–I’ve decided that with each 100 days, we should be allowed five free pass days for important events–but then at 11:30pm, I was able to fit in about an hour of practice! I actually warmed up with four different tom exercises that had me moving around the kit at different speeds while incorporating the kick and hi-hat on the 1 and 3 in 4/4 timing. I also worked on triplet patterns in 6/8 timing, which is a fun exercise in improvisation and works within various musical genres.
